P.Y. Rock Music School started as a dream. On a faithful day, our founder, Williams Ocampos, approached his musician friend Max Acosta with an idea in his mind. "Lets Open a Music School!" He said. That was when it all got started, not long after this day, in 2012, P.Y. Rock Music School officially opened its doors for our customers. When we first started, it was only Max and Williams teaching classes in a very small office room. One piano, one guitar, and a BIG dream! After six years of hard work, our school has taught thousands of students! We have seen the birth of friendships, of talented musicians, talented professors, amazing bands, and great students! Today, our small school has grown into a place that teaches hundreds of weekly active students, we have one of the most amazing team of teachers, and we are now in the process of opening up two new branches; West New York and Jersey City. All of this has happened thanks to each and every one of you, if you are reading this, thank you for helping us live our dream!
PY ROCK MUSIC SCHOOL creates a fun and energetic environment for young and adult people to discover the joy of music through the experience of learning how to play an instrument and performing with a rock band. The school’s curriculum involves Group and private lessons, a performing rock band program. Students build their skill set in private lessons as they work towards placement in one of the school rock band programs. We simply have the most powerfu method of learning music.
With our private lessons and band rehearsals combination, students get motivated and focus at a level they would never believe possible. They experience a remarkable increase in self-esteem and confidence. Every lesson and activity we do are directly related to improving the student's skills for life. PY Rock is a place where teachers become mentors and friends for the students.
Definitely one of the most talented guitar teachers that has ever taught at PY Rock. However, Williams is not only a musician, he is a natural entrepreneur. During his lifetime, he has embarked in many successful entrepreneurial ventures.
He has experience as a Real Estate agent, former owner of an English Institute, and a very successful event-hall rental business. As a former music teacher himself, he is constantly optimizing the system behind PY Rock
to ensure that the school is performing to the best of its ability.
As a musician, Max has shared the stage with big name artists such as Luis Fonsi, Natalia Jimenez, Pablo Alboran, and more. Singer, Pianist, Drummer, Guitarist, Composer; his experience as a professional musician made
him an excellent well-rounded music teacher. After teaching for many years, Max is now in charge of keeping all of the pieces of the business running together. Since day one, Max and Williams have always worked hand-by-hand to make sure
the business is running smoothly. Williams comes up with ideas and Max implements them! Excellent management teamwork!
